Liposuction HD

HD Lipo is a liposculpture of the areas of the body that present an excess of unwanted fat through a new concept of liposuction that defines the body’s silhouette. It is known under the name HD Lipo because it stands for High Definition. This technique allows the body to be defined and sculpted much better than classic liposuction. It also makes the skin in the liposuctioned areas adapt better to the body, describing it in its new shape.

Using an exact technique, the plastic and cosmetic surgeon removes fat that lies between the grooves of the musculature to reveal its shape through the skin and achieve more excellent definition.
It is a highly sought-after procedure that has gained popularity to achieve the indentations that resemble the six-pack or marked abs. To achieve a more defined musculature, the plastic surgeon will reduce all the fat in the treated area to expose the abdominal grooves that give the desired chocolate bar.

In our Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery practice, we specialize in this technique using J Plasma (Renuvion). The use of laser provides essential benefits in skin retraction by increasing collagen and decreasing inflammation and edema associated with conventional liposuction.

What are the advantages?

The advantages are less pain, less bruising, less operating room time, and faster recovery.

With HD Lipo, more localized fat is removed in areas that usually accumulate, such as the abdomen, hips, back, bra area, inner knees, jowls, or arms.

Who is a good candidate for HD lipo?

This procedure is indicated for those who, even leading a healthy and active life, cannot achieve a defined and toned body. Ideally, the candidate should be at an adequate weight or slightly overweight, and the skin should be well-toned. This is because, with more significant overweight or sagging skin, it could not adapt to the new contour resulting in wrinkles and/or folds. The plastic surgeon will be able to assess in a first consultation whether or not it is a good candidate and establish the expectations and goals of the procedure.

In what parts of the body is it performed?

One of the significant advantages of this procedure is that you can perform it in different body areas, having visible effects within a few weeks of having it done. Some of the sites are the following:

  • Shoulders.
  • Arms.
  • Pectorals.
  • Abdomen.
  • Buttocks.
  • Back.
  • Thighs.

After HD liposuction

The patient will be able to resume normal activities 3 to 5 days after the procedure and will have to wear compression garments for 3 to 4 weeks. Although the results are visible after the first month, they can be seen definitively after 6 months and are permanent as long as a healthy diet and regular exercise are followed.

It is essential to follow all medical recommendations for the postoperative period to be carried out successfully and achieve the desired results.

When can I see the results?

After the treatment, your body may look a little bruised and swollen in the treated areas. You will probably not be able to see the results immediately because your body needs time to heal. After about 3 to 6 months, you will see the results more clearly as your body adjusts to your modified shape. Some people may take a couple of months longer to see the results.
