Thread lift procedure is a minimally invasive alternative to facelift surgery. Thread lifts claim to tighten your skin by inserting medical-grade thread material into your face and then “pulling” your skin up and repositioning by tightening the thread. It promotes collagen production and neovascularization to renew your skin at the cellular level.
First of all, the area will be cleaned, and you may be given a local anesthesia. Once the anesthesia has taken effect, your treatment will begin. The PDO threads are inserted via blunt tip needles, called cannulas, or sharp-tipped needles. Once inserted into the appropriate layer of skin, they act as anchors as the skin is lifted upwards. Then, the excess threads are cut off.
Time: 30 min approximately.
Results: Immediate results after treatment and continues to make effect up to a year after treatment.
Anesthesia: Local anesthesia.
Follow Up: 10 to 20 days after treatment.
